Make Mini Frida Kahlo Piñatas
Materials Needed:
Cardboard toilet Roll
Crepe or Tissue paper in various colors
Glue stick
Scissors
Tape or hot glue
Markers or paint pens
String
Step-by-Step Instructions:
1. Add Frida’s Features
Use markers or paint to add Frida’s features on the front of the piñata. Draw her iconic unibrow, eyes, and lips.
Add flowers to the top of the piñata to mimic Frida’s flower crown. You can make these from crepe or tissue paper or use pre-made paper flowers.
Use different colors to make it vibrant and festive.
2. Create the skirt
Cut long strips of tissue paper, approximately 4-5cm wide, to wrap around the toilet paper roll. Cut several strips at once. You'll need 4 strips for each TP Roll Frida, ideally in different colors, but it's not essential.
Next, cut tassels into the tissue paper. we find it easiest to cut several at once
Tape or glue the strips all around the toilet roll.
3. Attach the String
Punch two small holes at the top of the piñata and thread a piece of string through them to hang your mini piñata. Or tape the string on.
4. Display and Enjoy!
Hang your mini piñata as a decoration for Frida’s birthday celebration or use it as a fun party activity.
